Climate change in Nepal: a perspective from microfinance practice

We are pleased to invite you to the new lecture ‘Climate change in Nepal: a perspective from microfinance practice’.

The lecturer for this seminar will be Dr. Bharat Singh Thapa.

Dr. Thapa is Assistant Professor and Director of MBA-Finance Program at Central Department of Management, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He also serves as a member of Academic Board of Joint International Ph.D Programme in “Human Rights, Society, and Multi-level Governance” at University of Padova, Italy. Dr. Thapa also supports capacity development of Financial Institutions of Nepal by providing trainings and advisory services in the areas of microfinance, financial inclusion, financial literacy and investment banking. His area of interest includes corporate finance, microfinance, financial inclusion, climate change, financial literacy, personal finance and capital markets.

The lecture is organized in the framework of the course “Alternative finance for territorial change” of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master programme CCD-STeDe (Climate Change and Diversity: Sustainable Territorial Development) and is part of the GEOnovember initiative.

The conference will be held on Wednesday the 4th of December | 14.30 – 16.00 (GMT + 1)

The conference will be online on YouTube and it will be held in English.
