Since its first edition in 2018, the International Night of Geography (GeoNight) aims to highlight geography and geographers and to be able to give the general public the opportunity to become familiar with geographical concepts and studies, making geographical research more accessible to all.
The 10th of April 2026, in the context of the GeoNight 2026, as Eramus Mundus Joint Master on Climate Change and Diversity: Sustainable Territorial Development (CCD-STeDe) we will host an international conference with relevant keynote speakers in order to discuss the alternative use of drones through a different perspective based on the critical remote sensing approach, ensuring their effectiveness and utility not only for research but also for territories and communities, by incorporating local knowledge through a co-creation and sharing process between various territorial stakeholders.
The initiative presents a series of activities conducted by the Laboratory D4G with different pathways from didactic to research activities between Padua and the Amazon and various territories of ecological and cultural diversity in which to apply geographic information technologies to activate participatory action research paths.
