ENROLLMENT AT UNIPD

DEGREE CERTIFICATE

  • Non-EU degrees
If you obtained your Bachelor’s (or Single Cycle) degree in a non-European country, you need to obtain
from the competent Italian embassy/consulate the Dichiarazione di valore. To ease the process, this information will be included in the invitation letter.

What is a Dichiarazione di valore and what it is for?
This document certifies that your academic degree entitles you to enrol in our CCD-STeDe Master programme, equivalent to the Italian “Laurea Magistrale”. Therefore, the Dichiarazione di valore must be requested for your Bachelor’s/First Cycle/Single Cycle degree. Such paper is mandatory in order to finalize your enrolment at the University of Padua, since in Italy academic degrees have a legal status, which implies also a legal recognition of any other degree not obtained in Italy.
You may apply to obtain a Dichiarazione di valore to the Italian Embassy/Consulate of the country in which your academic degree was obtained. Usually it takes at least one month (up to six months) and its cost may vary according to local regulations. You are strongly advised to contact the competent authority at your earliest convenience. You will be requested by the Italian Embassy/Consulate to provide the original certificate of your degree or Diploma and the complete transcript of records. These documents need also to be legally translated into Italian.
In place of the Dichiarazione di valore we can accept the “CIMEA Statement of comparability”
You can find further info here:

The cost of this document is about 150 Euros.

  • EU degrees
If you obtained your Bachelor’s (or Single Cycle) degree in any EU country, you don’t need a Dichiarazione di valore, but to finalize your enrolment you must provide us with the Diploma Supplement issued by your university
