As part of the Festival of Sustainable Development 2024, we are delighted to announce a new international conference in collaboration with the Center of Excellence for Climate Justice (ICEA Department, University of Padua). The conference will feature Giovanna Gasparello, professor and researcher from the Direction of Ethnology and Social Anthropology at the National Institute of Anthropology and History (DEAS-INAH), Mexico.
This event will be the occasion to introduce the speaker’s research about the conflict between the rich biocultural heritage of the southern Mexico and the commodification of Maya culture and territories for the tourist industry, represented by the Tren Maya megaproject.
The conference will be held on Wednesday the 22nd of May | 18.00 – 20.00 (GMT+2)
