Ocultados: uncontacted peoples in the Ecuatorian Amazon in transition

In the context of the Festival of Sustainable Development 2024 (Festival dello Sviluppo Sostenibile) as Erasmus Mundus Joint Master on Climate Change and Diversity: Sustainable Territorial Development (CCD-STede) we will host an international conference with the journalist, writer, researcher, activist and editor-in-chief of Abya Yala, Milagros Aguirre.

This event will be the occasion to introduce the speaker’s research about the threats that uncontacted peoples in the Ecuatorian Amazon are facing because of extractivism practices in the context of the capitalist model.

The conference will be held on Wednesday the 8th of May | 16.00 – 18.00 (GMT+2)

The conference will be online on YouTube and Facebook and it will be held in Spanish and simultaneously translted into Italian and English.
